It’s All About Second Chances!
Let’s face it. Nobody’s perfect. Everybody makes wrong choices and mistakes and sometimes the consequences can be pretty severe and life-changing. When someone makes mistakes or wrong choices, don’t they deserve the opportunity to have a second chance to change their outcome?
That’s what we’re all about at American Community Development Group … giving the less fortunate a second chance to change their lives.
Non-Profit organizations can do a wonderful job of providing treatment and educational services for their clients. Whether it’s alcoholism, drug addiction or even counseling for a displaced veteran or an “aged out” foster child, the non-profits fill a very needed void with their social services.
What most non-profits can’t provide, however, is permanent housing, job training or even a job for their clients.
That’s where American Community Development Group steps in. We fill a very critical void in the social services system by purchasing affordable housing and renting the rooms out to these disadvantaged persons at a fair monthly rate.
But ACDG’s services don’t stop with housing the non-profit’s clients. We also purchase businesses to employ those clients as well as find resources to give them the job training they need to become successful, contributing members of society.
Knowing that many non-profits are financially and even operationally challenged, American Community Development group also provides advisory and consultation services to our affiliated non-profit organizations at extremely discounted rates. Our consultants traverse every phase of business operations and can provide valuable input to the very survival of a non-profit agency.
Kudos to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Department (Tampa, Florida) for taking proactive steps to make a difference in people’s lives. We need more of this kind of example of selflessness, not only from our public servants but the private sector as well. If you work for a company that wants to truly “give back” to your community, ask them to get involved. Because in situations like this, everybody wins!
